Berry Crisp in a Mug

I am transferring all of the recipes from my soon to be defunct food blog to this blog!  Here's a good one!

PicMonkey Collage words
The girls and I made a fun berry crisp in a mug.  I’ve seen cakes in a mug and other mug treats all over, but a lot of recipes seemed to have mixed reviews.  I felt good about trying a crisp in a mug for some reason, maybe because there wasn’t egg in it or I didn’t have to think about it rising or something.
They really liked it…especially Leah!
Berry Crisp in a Mug // Becky's Happy Table I went the fun mom route and put ice cream on top, but you could totally make this for breakfast and put some vanilla greek yogurt on top instead!

A fun and easy treat in a mug! You can top it with ice cream, whipped cream, or even yogurt!
Ingredients
  • 3 tablespoons quick cooking oats
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • ⅛ teaspoon cinnamon (a just a couple shakes)
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • ¾ cup frozen mixed berries
Instructions
  1. Combine the oats, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon in a microwave safe mug. The mug should hold at least 12 ounces.
  2. Stir in the melted butter. Make sure there aren't any dry flour or oat pockets.
  3. Top the oat mixture with the frozen berries.
  4. Microwave for 2 minutes or until the fruit starts to bubble and is obviously cooked.
  5. After you remove the mug, use a spoon to stir the bottom crisp and bring it to the top.
  6. Serve with ice cream, whipped cream, or yogurt.
