At Last...It's an Easter Recap

We had a great time at Aaron's parents' house over Easter weekend!

We arrived on Friday shortly before supper, so all of the big fun started on Saturday.

There was some reading...

...some dress up clothes (and a hat for Gracie)...

...and even a little bit of drama, that was quickly fixed by a pounding toy!

While Maggie and Gracie were napping, Leah helped me in the kitchen.

If you look closely, you'll notice that I no longer have a nose sparkle.  :(

Gracie was rubbing her head on my face.  Her hair wrapped around the stud and when she moved her head back, her hair yanked it out.

Ow!  It really, really hurt.

She actually did it once before, but we were home, so I just rushed to the tattoo place and they put it back in for me, because I couldn't get it in by myself.

We were 5 hours away from home and I couldn't get it back in myself.  Plus, it was a little infected.

I was SO sad...arguably more sad than I should have been.

But, alas, I'll just get it repierced.  Anyone want to come with?!

After naps, we went to feed the ducks.

This picture of Aaron and me didn't make it into that post, because it was mostly about the girls.

I love that guy!!!

After we ate supper, we went out for frozen yogurt.

The frozen yogurt was really good.  Sometimes I feel like fro yo can be a little icy, but this stuff was amazing!

The table tops are made out of dry erase board material!  The girls enjoyed the fro yo AND the crafting opportunity :)  I love how Leah is wearing her sunglasses on her head...I do that all the time and so does my mom!

When we got back from fro yo, the girls got jammies on and I read them the 5 or so stories that comprise Jesus' death and resurrection from the Jesus Storybook Bible.

I can't say enough about how much I love this book!

We hid the girls' Easter buckets, and they enjoyed finding them on Sunday morning!

We got them super cute matching aprons from Pick Your Plum.  I have one, too!

I showed you a picture of the girls in their Easter dresses on Monday, but here it is again.

Too cute not to post again :)

We went the church Aaron went to in college.  We got to see our friends, Tim and Darcy, there, and it was so fun to have a little bit of time to catch up!

When we got back to Aaron's parents' house, the cousins were there, and they got to open an Easter surprise from their grandparents!

And the classic cousins on the couch shot!

It was a fun, full weekend, and the girls did pretty well on the drive, which is always a HUGE plus in my book.  Long car rides stress me out.

Even though it's done being Easter, I'm thankful for Jesus death and resurrection every day.

He is risen indeed!

    1. Oh yes, my little stripey girl is full of excitement...she keeps me on my toes, that's for sure!

The page of the JSB in the pic is the one where I had to stop reading because I was crying and the girls were like, "what's wrong with mommy?" :)
