What Love Looks Like

This is what love looks like at our house...

Love looks like doing all the dirty dishes that your wife makes...and never complaining.

Love looks like reading book after book after book in the basement.

Love looks like letting your sister drive the car...

...while you work the drive thru.

Love looks like having a treat with a friend...

...and wearing matching hats.

Love looks like giving your mom a flower to wear in her hair.

Love looks like having dinner on the table when your husband comes home from work.

Love looks like getting your husband a headlamp so that if he has to clean the gutters out at night in the rain again, he'll be able to see.

Love looks like throwing away the shirt that your wife hates doesn't prefer.

Love looks like going to the new frozen yogurt place on opening night...

...and then going again 2 days later.

Love looks like normal, little, everyday sorts of things...celebrating simple gifts, easy time spent together, sharing bits of our lives.

We love because He first loved us.
I John 4:19

Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children, and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us, and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
Ephesians 5:1-2
